Carlo G. Soave is the Managing Director and Owner of Soave & Associates, a global management consultancy company headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. The company, founded in 2004, specialises in consulting blue-chip companies in the chemicals and consumer goods sectors. Prior to founding Soave & Associates, Soave worked for the Procter and Gamble Company for 20 years in Switzerland, Germany, the US and Brussels, rising through the Executive ranks to Corporate Vice-President. He led both a $1 billion chemicals business known as P&G Chemicals, and later became the Head of Chemicals Purchasing worldwide, managing contracts worth well over $5 billion per annum and working on brands such as Pampers, Always, Tide, Ariel, and Pringles.
In 2008 Soave was appointed to the Board of Clariant, a $6 billion Swiss specialty chemicals company located near Basel, on which he continues to serve. In 2009, Soave was elected to the Board of MonoSol LLC, a Delaware-incorporated water-soluble film producer physically located in Northwest Indiana – since its sale to its Japanese parent in 2012, Soave continues to serve on MonoSol’s Advisory Board. MonoSol’s technology has enabled what has been described as the single biggest innovation in the detergent industry of the last 20 years – single unit dose laundry pods.
From 2012-2014, Soave served on the Board of Sharp Global Ltd, an Indian company located in New Delhi producing natural menthol, and acted as a professional advisor to the owner.
He was educated at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, graduating in 1982 majoring with a degree in Languages.
