Andrew Hopkins, President
Andrew Hopkins, Ph.D., is president of Melior Innovations. Prior to joining Melior, he was the corporate senior vice president composites for Nexeo Solutions, a $4 billion Texas Pacific Group Company. His responsibilities included all strategic and commercial activities for a $500 million business unit as well as expanding the company’s capabilities into China.
Prior to Nexeo, he was the number two executive at Rhetech, a specialty chemicals and compounding company, where he was responsible for all strategic, commercial and engineering activities.
Earlier, he spent 11 years at Owens Corning, in positions rising through the ranks to the role of director of strategic marketing. Early in his career, Hopkins was a strategic consultant for Cap Gemini for several years.
Hopkins has a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Kent (UK) and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with first-class honors from University of London. Hopkins has served as director of the American Composites Manufacturing Association (ACMA) and is an elected fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and is a member of Society of Plastic Engineers.
